Sunday Night Football...

Did anyone else notice during player introductions, DeSean Jackson listed his school as Long Beach Poly (his High School), instead of Cal (his university, like everyone else)?

I feel disrespected

Breda, The Netherlands

Lost in Translation

Me: "Hi, I am wondering if you have flat rate Internet access in the rooms, or if it just an hourly rate."
Receptionist (looking at me and my male coworker, followed by a scowl) "Nay nay nay, we do not do hourly rates at this hotel.  You will have to find a hotel down the street for an hourly rate."
Me (confused look): "eh?"
Receptionist: "At this hotel, we charge a full day rate no matter how long you stay.  The price will be €130 for the two of you tonight if you'd like a room."
Me: O_o . . . "uhhhhhh. . .we were wondering if you charge an hourly rate for the Internet" (points at computer)
Receptionist (turning very red): "oh. . .usually we charge €40 for this. . . but . . .you guys can have it for free" (hands us t-mobile hotspot cards)

Reason #273 I'm not going to miss Camarillo

The heaping mounds of steaming manure on the side of the road on the way to work.
